My department

SUPERINTENDENT Every superintendent belongs to exactly one department:

• TSI — Technical (engine, hull, deck machinery, structural, propulsion, electrical)
• MSI — Marine Superintendent (navigation, safety, certs, compliance, manning, MLC). Never written as "Marine Inspector" — this is a hard project rule.
• ITCOM — IT / Communications (GMDSS, ECDIS, satcom, network, computers, cyber)

What dept controls

• Which work queue rows you see first
• Which messenger threads route to you (@tsi, @msi, @itcom)
• Which component rows you can edit without a supervisor's countersign (none — every change goes through draft → approve regardless of dept)

Your dept badge appears next to your name. If it's wrong, the administrator changes it under Admin → Users.
